- Records of work we have carried out at your property, including certificates and service records
- Standard technical data collected by our hosting provider, such as IP address and browser type, for security and performance purposes
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your contact and property details to prepare your quotation and to carry out and support any work you go on to book. Our lawful basis for this is the performance of a contract with you, or taking steps at your request before entering into one.
We keep records of installations and services because we are required to, and because manufacturer warranties depend on them. Our lawful basis for this is compliance with a legal obligation and our legitimate interest in supporting the work we have carried out.
What we do not do
We do not sell your details. We do not pass them to third-party lead generation companies or comparison brokers. We do not add you to a marketing list on the basis of a quote request alone. If you ask us for a quote and do not proceed, you will hear from us at most once more to check the quote arrived.
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is necessary to do the work: with the boiler manufacturer to register your warranty, with Gas Safe Register and the local authority Building Standards department to notify your installation, and with our IT and email providers who process data on our behalf under contract.
How long we keep it
Quotation enquiries that do not proceed are deleted after 12 months. Records relating to work carried out are kept for the duration of the warranty plus six years, reflecting the prescription period in Scotland and the evidence manufacturers may require.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information where we no longer need it, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to ask us to restrict processing while a query is resolved.
